Lindsay and Timmy had a weekend wedding at the Fairmont San Jose with both a Western wedding and a traditional Indian Wedding! We were so excited and honored to be their wedding photographers, as it allowed us to photograph unique events and learn about a very fascinating and beautiful culture. You can check out the blogpost featuring their Western wedding here.
We love their stunning, bright wedding colors of pink, gold, blue, and traditional burgundy. One thing that both surprised and delighted us was how many outfits the couple wore for their wedding weekend of events! They really put Western Wedding outfits to shame with simple black and white…
Take a look at that pink, gold and blue back drop! Like, what? Why can’t western weddings have decor like this? What a beautiful idea! The pillows for lounging on the floor are cute and fun as well! We ADORE how henna is incorporated into the Bride’s traditional outfit, and how there is a ceremony specifically for the application of henna the night before their wedding. The jewelry and layers of the traditional Sari that Lindsay wore were heavy, but so elaborate and beautiful!
An Indian wedding is very family-focused, with their dedication to seamlessly joining both families together through the celebration of marriage. Through the combination of a Western and Traditional Indian wedding to honor both the Bride and Groom’s family backgrounds, their entire family was able to celebrate with their own culture as well as learn about the other’s. We at Fairy Tale Photography felt it was a very pure and family-honoring way to celebrate Timmy and Lindsay’s union. What a beautiful weekend for everyone!
